Guapo, the beloved 3-thousand-pound steer who really exists, also has a white, heart-shaped patch on his forehead, a symbol of his pure and loving nature. Despite his massive size, (he also stands well over six feet tall,) he’s known for his gentle nature. The gentle giant as he’s referred to is a learning tool for children. His stories, which are based on true events, teach young readers that feeling left out or different isn’t a bad thing, and that kindness if shown by others can turn things around very quickly. Not everyone feels included or happy all the time, and that’s where Guapo comes in. He teaches the importance of patience and understanding, and how it can make a big difference in someone’s life.
